What a wonderful group for a wonderful cause...thank you SO much for allowing the FSC students to become involved....looking forward to many future events!

I have a couple of Thank You's to go out. We held court at Fitchburg State at yesterdays "Rock the Block", which is their annual freshman orientation. Lucky 13 registered 108 new donors and probably could have done a lot more if not for some logistic contraints. Thanks to Michele for doing an unbelievable job in my absence. Another "Thanks" those who donated their time to help out and to Caitlyn Raymond, as always, for being there. A "Special Thanks" to the "Get Lucky Girls" for doing such a great job of recruiting. Its official!!! I am in Atlanta for four months! I will be doing my internship that I need to complete my degree, with the Atlanta Hawks, Atlanta Thrashers and Phillips Arena and working in the Corporate Sponsorships department (PASM). I'm obviously very excited about the move and psyched about the opportunity. I originally thought the only place I could go to was Augusta GA in order to continue on the trial drug that I take to treat Hodgkin's. As it turns out, the drug company is willing to write a "special" trial in order to accommodate my needs. I will not have to be monitored as much, but I will need to return to Dana Farber to be seen. Thinking Atlanta was where I would be able to move to, I applied and received an internship with the Atlanta Spirit, the LLC who owns both sports teams and the arena. I attempted to put off the start date until October to be able to be here for the two events that we already have planned during September. I am sorry that I cannot be here, but at the moment, my top priority is completing my degree and to continue moving forward. I have all the faith in the world in the people who will be filling my shoes. Thanks for checking the site and...GO HAWKS and THRASHERS!!!!
