The Lucky 13 Foundation was founded in 2007 by Chris Guilfoil who was originally diagnosed with Hodgkin’s Lymphoma and has been battling cancer since late 1999. Our goal is to encourage people to register as stem cell donors through education and promotion and to make people aware of the simplicity of stem cell collection and the donor process. We hope to improve the lives of the many people suffering from a wide range of diseases and conditions who would benefit from the use of stem cell therapy.

Medical researchers believe that stem cell therapy has the potential to dramatically change the treatment of human disease. However, there still exists a great deal of social and scientific uncertainty surrounding stem cell research, which could possibly be overcome through public debate and future research, and further education of the public. That’s where we come in……..

We hope you will use this website as resource and tool for learning more about stem cell research, development and treatments and be encouraged, and encourage others, to register as  a donor. The more people who register as a donor, the greater the chances of finding a donor match and improving, or even saving, someone’s life.
